woah.

I need a change of klothink.

SpamClamberton responds:

God I'm dumb, I actually Googled klothink and was wondering why online clothes shops were coming up.

No offence, but--

I don't agree with you.

And dude. Zeurel. If that IS your real name. I loved that beautifully animated laugh.

You're getting better and better-- leavn' the competition in the DUST, my man!

Zeurel responds:

Cheers~

You have no idea how long that laugh took.

Oh god

Boog,

This is awesome.

Didju mosaic-ize your walk cycles in photoshop and then "Trace Bitmap" the files in flash? It's a really effing beautiful effect.

All the best.

TheBoogley responds:

nope, I used livetrace in illustrator on each of the frames at a progressively low quality level... your way would work just as well :)

Eeep!

Man, not animating for months upon months is the absolute worst feeling. Glad to see ya' back on your feet. (Even if this was made many moons ago). I'm fuggin' trying to get back to animating after a boring ass, art-less college semester and'll hopefully be up to my ears in demonic monkey lip sync tests once I take my 2 animation classes in the spring.

Keep it up monsieur; always an inspiration.

TheBoogley responds:

thanks Nicole, I loved rhyme time! :D

Nice work Boogsworth

What makes good rotoscoping is the consistency; not just copying down the outline of a character like so many others have attempted to do in flash. You kept the shadow of the etched-out figure in place, despite the wobble of the lines. That was a very nice touch.

And yes, I've always loved seeing my stuff up on a huge projection/projected image. You get so used to working on a small screen that seeing it so huge really takes your breath away. It's even more orgasmic when an animation is projected on a physical object or sculpture. OOoowoowahh.

My ony gripe with this? Probably the music. It seems a bit too instrumental for an animation so simple, though I really couldn't describe what a perfect replacement would be. Normally, I'd say a piano sonata of sorts or something. It makes me think of the "Requiem for a Dream" score.

TheBoogley responds:

thanks Nicol, I hunted down your stuff on drunkduck.
I think you just might have a new fan, you sick bastard :3

AHAHA

I was not expecting this song at all. AT ALL.

I'm a motherfucking die-hard fan of Tim and Eric, and this is my FAVORITE song on the "Great Songs!" album. I fucking LOVE DAVID CROSS.

Now, *ahem* as for the video. Very simple, and nothing necessarily new, but I liked the McDonalds gag the most.

But yeah, I was singing along. If you want to improve the quality of your MP3's, there's two decent ways to do so. In the "Properties" Bar at the bottom of your Flash workspace, there should be a button next to "Settings". It's under the option where you modify your flash's size.

In the "Flash" Tab, look down, you should see "Audio Stream: [Set]" on top of "Audio Event: [Set]". Click [Set] next to whatever option you used, usually it's Audio Stream.

One way is tweaking with the MP3 Function it's usually already on. Choose a bit rate over 16 kps, and choose your quality. Also, make sure Make sure "convert Stereo to mono" is unchecked.

You can set it to ADCPM, which automatically sets your clip to full quality, but it sometimes produces clicking and popping sounds. It's a bit of a hit or miss. Make sure "convert Stereo to mono" is unchecked, and make sure it's on "22kHz" and "4 Bit".

Hope this helped.

LeonBlade responds:

Thanks, I'll make sure to do that next time, I know it ruined it a lot.
Someone else liked the over 9000 thing too, it's my favorite as well lol.

Unf.

Your characters need to move. Srysly. You'll get better at it as you practice, though.

IZSBHR responds:

They DO move.

EXCELLENT.

Top notch stuff, sir, you're great with this whole making cartoons thing. Reminded me of the good 'ol Rocko, Ren and Stimpy days. I CANNOT wait for more.

golfinho responds:

tank you human!!! :P

A lot more mellow than normal.

But still, just as good, just like the older episodes. I think Episode 9 is my favorite out of all of the others; mostly because It stands so well on it's own- I didn't even have to know the characters because the concept of that episode was so simple. Two Cocaine rats beating the shit out of each other.

This episode was very funny; in many ways sort of nostalgic back to olden, studio-produced web cartoons, where the fun part was choosing the outcome of the characters (Pink Donkey is a good example). Have you ever thought or considered making a Rats on Cocaine episode interactive?

'gain, keep churning out this amazing series, it's a breath of fresh air in terms of style and class.. or lack there of. :D

Hoooo hooo heh hooooo they're pussies too..

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

making it interactive limits where and how it can be shown. so no. but i will make more episodes.
